There are 13 train components to this set along with lots of track, signal lights, electronic track switches and a large box made for train sets. One of the gondola cars (Misfit Toys Gondola) is actually still in its original packaging. There is an engine with coal car. There is a decorative clip that broke off the engine in the back. It is tiny and not noticeable. It is not needed to hook the tender as the engine and tender hook up via a more sturdy connection. There are 4 gondolas with character pieces that are displayed on each one, In addition there are also 6 different box cars and passenger cars along with a caboose. Unfortunately I could not display all of the pictures of this wonderful holiday train set. Kids and adults will love this set. Look at the pictures to get an idea of the condition of the set.
