Offered for your consideration is a Bachmann Christmas themed G-Scale / Large Scale North Star Express Train Set. The set is lightly used but is in excellent-plus condition, and it is complete with a power supply, controller and accessories, many of which are still in factory sealed pouches. The set includes a colorful red and green accented 4-6-0 Steam Locomotive and Tender with Wood Load, and an onboard 9v battery powered sound system (battery will be included). Additional deep red and green cars include a Jackson-Sharp style passenger car, a North Pole Railway Post Office / Combine car, and a North Star Express cupola Caboose, all in Christmas decor. The engine, tender and cars come equipped with heavy gauge metal wheelsets and are very steady on the track. The engine and tender were tested with the Bachmann controller and power pack provided with the set, and also with a separate transformer power supply, and the set operated smoothly at all speeds with both systems. The engine has an operating directional headlamp, a smoke unit (untested), and a sound system synchronized with engine speed. Other items included in the train set are. Track lock-on with all wiring connectors. Smoke liquid vial (unopened). Prototypical locomotive smoke stack cap with screen. Santa figure with toy bag. Track sections for up to a 12 oval. Of some note, although the train shows evidence of light use, it was apparently operated on separate layout trackage because the steel alloy track provided with the set was still sealed and unused in the back of the molded Styrofoam packaging. It was only opened for the listing photos and then resealed. The display box itself has some damage (see photos), but the train set and all accessories are intact in their molded containers.
