The train set has been tested and is in great working condition. No box included but it does include the styrofoam packaging for easy storage. The locomotive is missing a connector clip but since the tender car (the 2nd car) has one you can still run the train. The tender car is the one that picks up power from the track and sends it to the locomotive to make it go and also to the other cars.

VINTAGE DILLARD’S TRIMMINGS Holiday Express CHRISTMAS ANIMATED ELECTRONIC TRAIN SET G SCALE. Works great, unfortunately, I no longer have the room to set it up. Lots of wear/tear on the box. Tested this year to take pictures. Please note some of the tracks have a bit of rust, it has not affected the train performance. Up for sale is a new Dillard’s Trimmings Animated Christmas Train with Lights and Sounds. We took it out of the box only to fully test it, since it is an older item. We learned that you have to have the second car connected to the locomotive in order for it to complete the circuit and run. The instructions do not tell you this. All the cars work and light up. Every sound and button on the controller works as it should. Everything I sell is stored in my smoke-free home away from my hypoallergenic (and non-shedding) dog.
