Condition is excellent, very moderate use, see pictures. I did not test the smoke unit. This is a classic, rare, G gauge vintage train set, able to go indoors or outdoors (the track is solid brass). There are two different cars: a caboose and a covered gondola with 6 hatches. Both have very crisp graphics as does the engine. The caboose has elaborate Christmas graphics and brass hand rails. The covered gondola has the most extensive graphics of any of the Christmas cars I have seen. The box is also limited to this set. The festive decor makes this a fun train to run at Christmas. The covered gondola can hide everything from Candy to jewelry. These remarkable trains are durable, easy to get on the tracks (which are brass for indoor and outdoor use), reliable, and easy to play with. High quality German manufacture (not China). The engine has both forward and reverse lights. There is a socket on the rear of the engine to accommodate lighting the cars or adding sound. Included with circle of 12 curved brass tracks.
